The MING Polymesh: a bracelet that wears like a strap, and a strap with the tactility of a bracelet. The world’s first 3D printed titanium bracelet-strap hybrid.

The MING Polymesh (Straight) is formed from 1,742 individual components which are formed simultaneously and hooked into adjoining components in a closed loop. The construction of the Polymesh is only made possible by 3D printing as it cannot be made using traditional methods like machining.

The production process takes several hours per bracelet because each bracelet requires more than one thousand individual layers of sintering. Each bracelet is manufactured from grade 5 titanium. The only element added to the bracelet after 3D printing is the quick-release spring bars.

The MING Polymesh (Straight) is the first Polymesh designed for watches not produced by Horologer MING and is compatible with the Massena LAB Archetype, Dato-Racer, Geometer, Uni-Racer, and Raúl Pagès collaboration models (Magraph, Absinthe, Noctograph, TZ30, etc.) as well as any other watch with 20mm lugs.

Recommended for wrist sizes ranging from 6" to 7.8" (152mm - 200mm).

      SAVOIR FAIRE

      Made in Switzerland, the creation fo the MING Polymesh is a time-intensive process.

      Each Polymesh requires several hours of additive manufacturing, followed by careful finishing to remove surface burrs and layer lines left by the printing process. This finishing stage ensures the Polymesh articulates smoothly and feels soft against the skin.

      The finished structure is surprisingly thin and fluid, yet extremely strong. Laboratory testing showed the Polymesh capable of withstanding nearly 1,000 newtons of tensile force, with the spring bar failing before the Polymesh itself in destructive tests.

      EXPANDING THE POLYMESH ECOSYSTEM

      The introduction of the straight spring-bar version represents a natural expansion of the Polymesh concept.

      Because MING cases use curved lugs, the original Polymesh was designed specifically for these watches. However, the Polymesh is the only one of its kind and significant requests were submitted for a more universally compatible version.

      This new version does exactly that and opens the Polymesh to the broader watch ecosystem. In doing so, it represents an unusual step: this is the first MING product created primarily to be worn on watches from makers other than MING.
