Massena LAB is proud to introduce the UNIMATIC Modello Uno U1-SPG, a limited-edition wristwatch with a NASA-signed dial, made to commemorate the NASA Artemis missions, which aim to send the first astronauts to the Moon since the Apollo missions of the 1960s and 1970s. A limited edition of only 99 pieces, the U1-SPG is a self-winding wristwatch with GMT function and a stainless steel case with Cerakote™ coating.

The Artemis II mission, scheduled for 2026, will mark the first crewed mission in the new Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, a next-generation heavy-lift rocket designed to carry astronauts to the moon and, eventually, Mars. The upcoming moon missions (Artemis II, III, and IV) will explore the uncharted lunar South Pole region, and will establish mankind's first permanent space station on the Moon’s surface.

Proudly signed “NASA”, its dial is matte black with “Old Radium” Super-LumiNova® for excellent legibility.  Its classic “worm” NASA emblem, 24-hour track and hands are all luminous, as well as the 60-minute rotating bezel.

The case of the U1-SPG is crafted from 316L stainless steel which is then coated with Cerakote™, a durable, anti-corrosive, ceramic-based coating. Ideal for protection against harsh environments, and is widely used in the aerospace industry, the burnt orange Cerakote™ of the U1-SPG is inspired directly from the orange hue which covers NASA's new SLS rocket.

The crown of the U1-SPG and its bezel are coated with deep charcoal Cerakote, and the watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the interior side. The case of the U1-SPG measures 40mm with a 41.5mm bezel.

The overall design aesthetic pays tribute to the bold vision of 1960s retrofuturism. In particular, the design is strongly influenced by Stanley Kubrick’s 1968 masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey. The film, which explores the wonders of future space travel, blends imagined advanced technology with a distinctly 20th-century perspective.

On its closed, stainless steel case back is the engraved emblem of the NASA Artemis program, depicting the letter ‘A’ rising from the Earth to the Moon and all that lies beyond it.

The Modello Uno U1-SPG is powered by the self-winding Seiko NH34A, with 24 jewels, a frequency of 21,600bph (3Hz), and 42 hours of power reserve.

Each example is individually numbered and presented in a branded UNIMATIC x Massena LAB tough case, additional pair of nylon straps in black, an embroidered NASA patch, warranty card, and unique ID seal.

Limit of one watch per household.

Limited edition of 99.

Free U.S. shipping.
