Founded in 2015 by Giovanni Moro and Simone Nunziato, UNIMATIC is an Italian contemporary watch brand driven by a desire to incorporate the best design references of the past and present. Moro and Nunziato, who trained as industrial designers at Politecnico di Milano, are committed to developing unique timepieces that combine top tier design with quality features at a competitive price point. The design philosophy of UNIMATIC is centered around functionality and seeks to update traditional watch references in a modern, streamlined style to deliver to the wearer a one-of-a-kind timepiece.

Massena LAB's partnership with UNIMATIC began with the 2020 release of the U1-ML6, a watch inspired by famous dive watches from the 1950s and was the first entry in a trilogy of vintage-inspired collaborations between UNIMATIC and Massena LAB.
