Tokiograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès

Tokiograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès

Massena LAB is proud to announce Tokiograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès, a limited edition of 39 pieces, created to celebrate Massena LAB’s first appearance  in Japan at Tokyo Watch Week 2026.

A wristwatch with a contemplative, grey dial with white and red lacquer details, the Tokiograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès, is powered by a manual-winding movement designed by Massena LAB in collaboration with the independent watchmaker Raúl Pagès, all housed in a 38.5mm stainless steel case.

The name “Tokiograph” is first a nod to the city of Tokyo, where Massena LAB will be making its debut in Japan at Tokyo Watch Week from October 9 - 12, 2026. However, the name holds a double meaning:  in Japanese, “toki” (時) means “time,” while “graph”, is derived from the Greek “graphein” (γράφειν), meaning “to write” or “to record.”

The Tokiograph is the spiritual successor to the Noctograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès, which has been recently nominated at the 2026 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, where it is competing in the Petite Aiguille category.

The Tokiograph, building upon the design language of the Noctograph, is adorned with a dial with an austere, grey dial plate which has been vertically brushed and is devoid of any markings, apart from a subtle signature reading “Massena” at 4 o’clock. Depending on the light, the tone of the dial shifts gently from steel to charcoal, captivating the eye. The subsidiary seconds dial is slightly recessed and is lacquered in white and red with dark charcoal markings, creating a dimensional, textural, and tonal contrast with the brushed grey dial. Like the Noctograph before it, the Tokiograph melds contemporary minimalism with classic and historical references favored by William Massena and Massena LAB.  Surrounding the dark grey dial is a chapter ring which is rhodium-plated and radially brushed. This outer section is marked with a fine, dark charcoal railroad track showing the hours and minutes, mirroring a similar motif on the small seconds dial.

A pair of polished feuille hands, in stainless steel, float above the surface in contrast to the brushed dial, casting a gentle reflection. Inspired by dress watches of the 1930s to the 1950s, the classic silhouette of the hands contrasts harmoniously with the minimalism of the dial, blending modernism with classicism.

The Tokiograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès is powered by the manual winding caliber M660, our Swiss-made movement with extensive hand finishing. Designed by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès, the architecture of the movement is dominated by a broad plate with fine Côtes de Genève finishing and hand-chamfered plates and bridges. The movement bears Raúl’s signature in the form of a delicate poinçon, tucked behind the caliber’s balance wheel between overlapping circles of perlage finishing, in the shape of his acclaimed tortoise automaton.

While Raúl Pagès oversees and directs the production of the movement, production is entrusted to a select team of Swiss watchmakers, and he does not engage directly in the production of the movement as he would do in the creation of his own pieces.

The Tokiograph is housed in a 316L stainless steel case measuring 38.5mm in diameter whose silhouette is inspired by watches of the 1940s and 50s. Its case combines both polished and brushed surfaces and is fitted with a grey calfskin strap, which is handmade in Italy and paired with a stainless steel Massena LAB buckle.
