The dial finds inspiration from the Observatory-grade Patek Philippe Ref. 2458 wristwatch, a unique masterpiece crafted in platinum for the distinguished collector and lawyer Joe Ben “J.B.” Champion, Jr. in 1952. Notably, when this unique vintage wristwatch last sold publicly at auction in 2014, it set a record for the most valuable time-only wristwatch ever sold at auction, cementing its place in history.

The Mathey-Tissot x Massena LAB Mergulhador is a reincarnation of the vintage, original Mergulhador dive watch, introduced by Mathey-Tissot to the Portuguese market in the 1970s. "Mergulhador" translates to "diver" in English, and the watch was produced for both military and civilian use. Limited to 99 pieces.

A vintage-inspired, limited-edition Swiss-made, chronograph with an automatic movement and a colorful dial. Inspired by the "Swinging London" of the 1960s and styled after several chronographs which were popular in the era. Limited to 99 pieces.

This limited-edition collaboration was born of a friendship— that between William Massena and Wei Koh, founder of Revolution—and of their mutual appreciation of vintage watches, especially stainless steel chronographs from the mid-century. Vintage-enthusiasts and connoisseurs will observe that the dial of the Massena LAB x Revolution Uni-Racer 1949 is inspired by one such watch: a completely unobtainable pièce unique dating to 1949.

The Massena LAB Archetype 1.0 is a friends-and-family exclusive, limite-edition chronograph with vintage styling, a champagne dial, and an escargot-style tachymeter. Styled after some of our favorite chrongoraphs from the mid-century, the dial shifts in color from salmon to ivory depending on the light. Rhodium-plated Arabic numerals and navy blue indices. Limted to 50 pieces.

Further evolving the aesthetics established in our first collaboration with Louis Erard, the dial of Le Chrono Monopoussoir is inspired by marine chronometers dating to the late 18th and early 19th centuries, especially those by Ferdinand Berthoud and Antide Janvier. Its frosted, gold plated dial further recalls the aesthetic of these marine chronometers. Limited to 100 pieces.

Le Chronographe Monopoussoir Louis Erard x Massena LAB is a monopusher chronograph, showing hours and minutes, and a thirty-minute counter at 12 o'clock. The outer sector ring is rhodium-plated and circularly grained, and its counter is silvered opaline, creating an attractive contrast against the frosted texture of the main dial. Limited to 78 pieces.

Technical marvel meets aesthetic elegance in this timepiece, crafted almost entirely by hand in the atelier of Sylvain Pinaud in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland. The watch is powered by a hand-wound movement with a fully integrated, column-wheel chronograph with a horizontal clutch, which can be started; paused; and reset using a single pusher located discreetly at the crown. The movement’s integrated chronograph complication, hand-finished by the watchmaker himself, is left exposed on the dial side and is a delight to observe.

The Chronograph Monopoussoir Sylvain Pinaud x Massena LAB was the winner of the Chronograph Watch Prize at the 2024 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève.

The Angelus Chronographe Médical x Massena LAB, a revised and edited version of the original Angelus doctor's watch produced in the 1960s. The 2023 version features an upgraded movement: the Angelus caliber A5000, first developed by THA Ébauche, a manufacture of watch movements founded by François-Paul Journe, Danis Flageollet, and Vianney Halter. Limited to 99 pieces.

The UNIMATIC x Massena LAB U4S-BRZ-ML is the first watch from UNIMATIC, along with its companion piece, the U4S-BRZ-MLL, to feature a bronze case.

The UNIMATIC x Massena LAB U4S-BRZ-ML, features a matte dial in deep olive with a warm, bronze-tone signature, and rich plots of pale yellow Super-LumiNova for its hour markers. Its hands, displaying hours; minutes; and seconds, are also luminous. Its bronze case is brushed circularly around its bezel, and diagonally on its lugs for visual interest. On its titanium case back: a detailed engraving of a cunning octopus.

The UNIMATIC x Massena LAB U1-MLBN is a friends and family exclusive version of the U1-MLB, our third and final watch in a trilogy of three collaborations with UNIMATIC.

MLBN, available only to our family and friends, is an all-black take on the MLB and features a matte black DLC-plated stainless steel case, an all-black DLC-plated bezel, and a matching black TPU strap.

The U4S-BRZ-ML, UNIMATIC's first commercially-released watch to feature a bronze case, is inspired by the works of French novelist Jules Verne, such as Journey to the Center of the Earth and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas. The watch has a matte, dark olive dial and soft yellow, luminous, hour markers and hands.

The UNIMATIC x Massena LAB U1-MLB is the third and final watch in a trilogy of collaborations with UNIMATIC following the release of ML6 and MLM in 2020.

MLB “Bund” is inspired by the dive watches of the 1970s, particularly the cult Blancpain “Bund”, which was issued to West Germany’s Bundeswehr Kampfschwimmers, a group of elite special forces of the West German Navy.

MLB features an all-black dial, with a black-on-black “ghost" signature to maximize the legibility of its luminous indices. Like the “Bund” of the 1970s, the dial of the MLB is characterized by a large, distinct orange minute hand to differentiate it from the hour hand.

The Mathey-Tissot x Massena LAB Type XX Flyback Chronograph is one of two vintage-inspired chronographs that honor one of the great tool watches of mid-century aviation.

In the 1950s and 60s, several prominent manufacturers, like Breguet, were issued contracts by the French Ministry of Defense (MOD) to produce pilot’s watches according to certain military specifications. The requirements included a flyback function, or retour en vol, which allowed a pilot to instantaneously restart a running chronograph without the typical need to stop, reset, and then restart; a black dial with large, luminous, Arabic numerals and two registers at 3 and 9 o’clock; a bidirectional, 12-hour rotation bezel; and a power reserve of at least 35 hours.

The Mathey-Tissot x Massena LAB Type XX Tribute Chronograph has a warm, brown, tropical dial, and coffee-colored, luminous Arabic numerals. This dial is exclusive to Massena LAB and inspired by William Massena’s very own, vintage Breguet Type XX chronograph from his personal collection.

The Mathey-Tissot x Massena LAB Type XX Tribute Chronograph is powered by the manual-winding Sellita caliber SW510BHa, with 28,800 half oscillations per hour (4 Hz), and 23 jewels.

The Massena LAB Geometer, released as a friend and family exclusive, is a reincarnation of the famously collectible Rodania Geometer, a favorite of vintage watch enthusiasts and collectors. Notoriously difficult to find, vintage examples can fetch prices in the high double digits at auction, making the watch all the more inaccessible to a larger audience.

The Massena LAB Geometer is a vintage-styled chronograph with a tropical dial, sword hands, three registers, and cream lume. The Geometer is fitted inside a 39mm polished and brushed stainless steel case.

The Massena LAB Dato-Racer, a friends and family exclusive, is a vintage-inspired, 40mm wristwatch with hours, minutes, sweep seconds, and date. The watch takes many of its design cues from vintage watches dating to the late 1960s and 70s. The dial features a subtle, gradient sunray, stylized hour numerals, and a red crosshair.

The Magraph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès is the first Massena LAB creation to feature a proprietary movement, the calibre M660, developed by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès. The M660 features a handsome, broad plate with Côtes de Genève finishing and hand-chamfered anglage on its plates and bridges, all of which is visible through its exhibition caseback. The Magraph features a minimalist dial inspired by Bauhaus art and design of the 1930s and a stainless steel case similarly inspired by dress watches of the 1930s and 1940s. Limited edition of 99.

Our first collaboration with Louis Erard, Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Massena LAB, was a double release of two variants: Rhodium and Gold. The dial is inspired by marine chronometers of the 18th and 19th centuries, like those made by Ferdinand Berthoud. These seafaring clocks, with intricate, golden dials, were also incredibly utilitarian in their precision and durability. Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Massena LAB shows hours, minutes, and seconds, divided over three registers with hours at 12 o'clock, central minutes, and small seconds at 6 o'clock. Limited edition of 178.

Our first collaboration with Louis Erard, Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Massena LAB, was a double release of two variants: Gold and Rhodium. The dial is inspired by marine chronometers of the 18th and 19th centuries, like those made by Ferdinand Berthoud.

In 2022, Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Massena LAB was nominated for the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in the "Petite Aiguille" category.

Our first collaboration with independent watchmaker Luca Soprana, Old School is a concept watch based on the montre d'école.

Translating literally to "school watch", a montre d'école is crafted by an apprentice watchmaker at the conclusion of their studies. Some are so elaborate that they require years of work to complete, and the most talented apprentices create their own movements. It is this attention to detail, dedication, and savoir-faire that is the essence of Old School.

Taking a closer look, the wearer can appreciate the specific and shifting blue color of the subdial and chronograph hands, which was achieved through an arduous process of using traditional hand heating, oxidation, and other metal treatments. The Archetype 0.0, an exclusive set of pre-series chronograph prototypes, available only to the friends and family of Massena LAB. Inspired by vintage chronographs, the glossy black sector dial of the Archetype 0.0 is detailed with warm, gold markings, achieved only by recreating the same, traditional gilt techniques used in mid-century watchmaking.

The Habring² ERWIN LAB03, a three-way collaboration, features a bronze, engine-turned dial by J.N. Shapiro and, for the first time, official Chronometer Certification from the Horological Society of New York. The dial of the LAB03 was designed by William Massena and hand-crafted by Joshua Shapiro in his Los Angeles workshop. The dial of the LAB03 is J.N. Shapiro's first dial to utilize bronze. The release of the LAB03 coincided with the debut of HSNY's Chronometer Certification program. The LAB03 was the first watch to be certified by the HSNY, and its movement bares the gild's official seal. The Habring² ERWIN LAB03 is a limited edition of 66 to commemorate 1866, the year the HSNY was founded.

The MING 17.09 x Massena LAB features an intricate, hexagonal honeycomb dial inspired by vintage Rolex dials of the mid-century. Surrounding the central honeycomb is a circularly-brushed ring to compliment its patterned center.

The case of the 17.09 MING x Massena LAB is constructed from polished and brushed 316L stainless steel, which recalls the "padellone" (or "little frying pan" in Italian) cases of the Rolex 8171.

On its reverse side, the honeycomb pattern is etched to encircle the Massena LAB logo.

The MING x Massena LAB features an intricate, hexagonal honeycomb dial inspired by vintage Rolex dials of the mid-century. Surrounding the central honeycomb is a circularly-brushed ring to compliment its patterned center.

The 17.09 MING x Massena LAB was our first collaboration with MING, and MING's first collaboration with any other brand.

Born from the idea of “What would a UNIMATIC watch from the 1950s look like today,” the UNIMATIC x Massena LAB U1-ML6 began as a conversation between the two companies on how to create a high-quality wristwatch that felt modern and incorporated vintage touch points, while not relying on nostalgia alone.

The watch features a classic black bezel with a red triangle, reminiscent of the Rolex 6538, made famous by Sean Connery as James Bond in Goldfinger. The 15-minute marker on the bezel is the first time that UNIMATIC has featured it on one of its watches. Turning the 120-click unidirectional bezel is both an audible and tactile treat; the bezel hangs slightly over the diameter of the watch, making it easier to turn as well.

Massena LAB's second collaboration with UNIMATIC, the U1-MLM draws inspiration from the watches of the French Navy of the 1960's. Each dial is a varying shade of deep blue, ranging from ocean to deep navy due to color changes that occur during production, making each dial truly distinct from any other in this limited edition.

An anchor is engraved on the case back, a reference to the French naval tradition. Each watch was delivered with a matching blue NATO strap as well as a French navy loop strap in olive with a centered yellow stripe.

Straddling time from the ancient to the immediate, T-Rex Bronze creates a harmonious balance between mechanical and organic forms. This model switches out the original steel for bronze, the copper alloy whose mastery amounted to a technological revolution so immense that it ushered in a new age of early civilization.

The feet of the T-Rex Bronze are aged to create an earthy brown patina, and the entire bronze structure is oxidized by hand to “lock in time” its color and the unique characteristics of the material. This individual patination and stabilization means that no two clocks are alike.

Three years in the making, the Massena LAB Uni-Racer is a testament to the art of defying the rules and creating a timepiece informed by the past, but with a “Big Eye”on the present.

The Uni-Racer is a 21st-century interpretation of a mid-century classic, with each detail of the watch painstakingly re-edited for the modern watch wearer. The Uni-Racer features a 39mm stainless steel case, finished horizontally for added visual interest.

The dial is configured in a “Panda” white dial and features a 30 minutes “Big Eye” counter as well as a small seconds counter. Zooming in, the wearer can appreciate the specific and shifting blue color of the hour, minute and central chronograph hands, which was achieved through an arduous process of using traditional hand heating, oxidation, and other metal treatments.

The Massena LAB Uni-Racer Black features a "Reverse Panda" dial (the inverse of the White dial variant) inspired by vintage, mid-century chronographs of the mid-century. Look closely at its acrylic crystal, and you will notice the engraved “M” logo in the acrylic crystal, reminiscent of vintage, mid-century chronographs. Limited edition of 200 pieces.

On its dial, the ERWIN LAB02 is a simple, three hand timepiece with a contrast silver and rose gold sector dial. The 38.5 mm stainless steel case is polished with a step bezel that frames a sector dial that recalls the legendary sector dials from the 1930s.

The sector dial is divided into four concentric segments. The markings are a deep midnight blue and numerals of each segment are raised and finished in rhodium for depth.

Another particularity of the dial is that the outer railway five-minute divisions are perfectly aligned with the jumping seconds hand. The feuille hands are also rhodium finished. Altogether, the contrast of the rhodium elements against the rose gold and silver dial results in excellent legibility.

Habring² ERWIN LAB01, the first collaboration released under the Massena LAB umbrella, is a simple, three hand timepiece with a deep black sector dial housed in a 38.5 mm bronze case. The sector dial is divided into four concentric segments. The markings and numerals of each segment are raised and finished in gold for depth.

The timepiece is powered by a Habring² in-house caliber A11s mechanical hand-wound movement with a dead seconds complication.
